The actor, singer and composer Mel Canady, who has lived in Europe for several years, was born in the land of Blues and Gospel. After completing his studies he made aquaintance with the musicians and artists who moved on to world fame. Among these are Fred Wesley, Donna Summer, Thad Jones and many others.
In the 70´ s and 80´ s he became well known for his work as musician and actor with projects like "Family tree" , "Ruby and the Mudflaps", Iberl- Bühne Munich, and diverse Musicals, such as "Hair", "Mahalia Jackson", the TV series Munich 7.
Recently he delivered a brilliant performance as Ray Charles in the Musical "One night of Ray Charles"
